I filmed an interview on a Canon HV20 then created a new project (HDV 1080i30) in Premiere CS3 and then imported the video. I then created a lower third graphic in Photoshop and imported that into the project. I placed the lower third towards the bottom where I wanted it and it is exactly where I want it when I view it in Premiere. Then when I exported the final project the lower third shows up at the very bottom of the screen. I tried exporting to QuickTime, Windows Media, etc. and the same thing happens every time.
I then went back to the project and moved the lower third way abover where I want it and then when I exported it showed up about where I originally wanted it. Basically what I'm seeing in Premiere is almost an inch higher than where it shows up when I export it.
Any idea why this is happening? Is there a setting I'm missing or something like that?
Thanks,
Calvin
lower third rendering at the bottom of...When you render (press Enter) and view the timeline in the program monitor set the ''Fit'' what does it look like? It sounds like your source clips doent match your sequence preset in size.
If it looks ok in the program monitor, then perhaps your export is to the wrong par
lower third rendering at the bottom of...Something like this has happened in the past when there was a settings mismatch between the media and the sequence.
When I render and view the video in the program monitor with ''Fit'' everything lines up correctly. It is only when I export the lower third drops down.
My lower third graphic was a little small, so I ''Scale to Frame Size'' to get it to cover the screen horizontally. It is still pretty much in the same place though, about an inch higher than where it is when rendered.
How do I check/correct the setting for the sequence?
The Help file should have that information.
It ended up my output settings were wrong. I still don't understand when I create a 1080i project and use video filmed in 1080i and then when I go to export it, the default setting are 720 x 480. I guess I just need to use the Media Encoder every time instead of selecting ''Movie...''.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
