Help - Can't revert to original or...

Hi all,

Vista x64, Encore CS4.

I dlinked a 1440x1080 project from PP CS4 into Encore CS4 to create a Blu-ray image. After two days of rendering, i was informed that I used a transcode setting that was too big to put on a 25gb disc. Now I can't seem to be able to revert to original or un-transcode. Neither can i seem to select another transcode setting. No matter what i select, the blu-ray transcode box in the properties panel just goes back to the original setting.

I also get this Adobe Encore message: ''This file has already been transcoded.'' when i try toi check ''Use Maximum Render Quality'' in the Transcode Settings window.

Does anybody know how to reset the project or force a revert?

One more thing.... even though all of the files are transcoded, when i ''save as'' the project to create a test project, Encore tells me that files are being transcoded in the background and do i want to abandon the transcoding to create the new project file.

Ok...

I solved the not being able to ''revert to original'' blu-ray transcode problem. Appearently, you need to make sure the ''Project Settings'' reflect the correct authoring mode and codec. In my case, it must be set to ''blu-ray'' otherwise Encore keeps looking at the ''dvd'' side of things. After i changed the authoring mode, i was able to revert the blu-ray transcode and was able to set the transcode to whatever i wanted.

Also, the Adobe Encore message: ''This file has already been transcoded.'' when i tried to check ''Use Maximum Render Quality'' in the Transcode Settings window - is gone.

Have not encountered this. I wonder if clearing the Media Cache, including the Transcodes, will bring this setting back?

Good luck, and please report,
