Video Size

Help!

I'm creating a Flash (CS4) web site for a friend of mine, and he has some video reels he wants to show.

He gave me a QuickTime movie that is... 2.88 GB!

Now I know that is WAY TOO BIG, but I know he's going to ask me what the maximum video size can be.

Does anybody know what the optimum size should be and how big can I get away with?

Thank you! I appreciate any help.

Video Size

the size isn't important.?it's the bitrate that's important.

the bitrate determines whether users will be able to view the video without it stopping and starting.

Interesting... What's the optimum bitrate? What would you recommend?

Thank you for your help.

In a high bandwidth situation the totals of both the video and audio data rates should be less than 350 kbps. In a dial up situation, the total should be no more than 100 kbp.
