How to add object to another pic

Example:聽 I have a subject in one photo.聽 I want to place that subject into another photo of the Eifflel Tower.聽 Is that possible with Photoshop Elements 7.0?

How to add object to another pic

Yes. You use the selection tools to select the object to be removed then drag the object or copy/paste it into the other file.

That didn鈥檛 work. Maybe because I used the MERGE GROUP SHOTS method? I isolated the subject using the MAGIC EXTRACTOR. With the MERGE GROUP method I am unable to drag %26amp; drop or copy %26amp; paste. Should I file the extracted subject in MY PICTURES? Lost! Don鈥檛 have a clue.

I took it as a prepurchase question and didn't really go into detail. You might have trouble dragging the image over because I didn't mention using the move tool to drag from one file into the other. I should also mention that the image you drag over will take on the resolution of the image file it's dragged into.

Here's a video link that shows one method of making an image composite.

You'll notice that in the above video the workspace is set up to cascade windows (Window%26lt;Cascade) so she can view both files in the workspace.

The Group Photo Merge is for combining two photos that have basically the same contents. See this video to see how to use Group Photo Merge.

Thanks, I can follow the video, its understandable. I don't understand what the two pictures are retained within? In the video it looks like each picture has a toolbar at the top, the bottom has a slider bar. What is that? Has that something to do with LAYERS? I can only get one pic displayed of the two that is in my tray below. How are both displayed without using MERGE GROUP SHOTS? There is something preceding the Youtube video that is not explained anywhere.

Thanks Terri, I think I'm on my way now. Still baffled by Layers, no matter how much I read, its still baffling. None of it seems to work as expected, but that鈥檚 just me. Experimentation, trial and error is the real teacher. Good news is I can merge pics, thanks to you.

That鈥檚 a good video. That takes some of the mystery away from Layers. I took an online course with HP for Elements 7.0. I've read that section about Layers over and over, just couldn't make sense of it. This helped a lot!

Thanks again Terri!!!
