Links, Kindof..

Hello all,

Thanks in advance for your help.

I want to play links at the bottom of a view of my eLearning slides.?Standard links work just fine when imported from powerpoint. But when I try and have links to specific folders on a shared network, captivate does not respond.

Here is the link:

\\randomcompany.network\public\common\All Access\Health, Safety and Environment Management System\2.0 Commitment

I have a feeling that captivate does not recognize links that aren't of the www. type.?If someone knows away around this, please letme know.?I would like the above to link to open a new window with the contents of the folder visible for the user.?Similar to what happens in PowerPoint.

Thanks again!!

Hi there

Have you tested from a web server or only locally? You might try adjusting the Flash Security settings.

As far as I know you are not able to link to a folder from Captivate and have it open an explorer window. Links in Captivate needs to be directed towards a file.

Hi there

In looking at your link path, I notice there is a comma in there. I'm wondering if that's causing an issue. When you type the URL into the field, try typing a %2C where you would type the comma. See if that changes anything.
